Gachiakuta Manga Online, Chapter 12

In Chapter 12 of Gachiakuta, titled “Shadow of the Underworld,” Rudo and a group of janitors are sent on a suspicious mission after receiving a request from a merchant who claims that an aberrant beast attacked and abducted a mysterious cargo—a Skyperson who fell from the heavens. Though not yet a full janitor, Rudo chooses to join, hoping it may lead to answers about the upper world. During the mission briefing, Griss shares his personal ritual of praying to a small charm before every mission, hinting at his own beliefs and strength.

When the team arrives at the location, things immediately feel off—the merchant can’t recall what happened clearly, and the explanation about the beast doesn’t match known behavior. Inside, they find what appears to be a doll sitting eerily, but it’s a trap. The floor collapses beneath them, and the merchant above melts into clay, revealing his non-human nature and pointing directly at Rudo. Suddenly, two sinister figures appear and reveal themselves as part of a group called the “Vandals.” They state that the Skyperson is actually a “Giver,” someone of great value. The janitors realize they’ve walked into an ambush. The chapter ends with high tension, as Rudo and his allies prepare to face off against a dangerous and unknown enemy.
